explanations.
Avoid fast food. Fast food causes obesity. It is loaded with monosodium glutamate MSG and sugar. A value meal can contain well over 2,000 calories. Don't be fooled by grilled chicken sandwiches and salads either. They are just as bad.
Subway and Taco Bell are not as bad as McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's, but they are not good either. Of all of these tips, this is the most important one.
Fast food obesity is the number one cause of obesity in America. We
have been led to believe that fast food is just food. This is a lie.
Fast food is the worst, most fattening thing anyone can eat. This includes salads and grilled chicken sandwiches.
Avoid restaurant food. Food in most restaurants is just as bad as fast food. They use large amounts of MSG and sugar in everything. MSG causes obesity.
If you have to eat in a restaurant, try to stick with whole foods. Avoid bacon, hamburgers, soup, and appetizers. Steak, chicken breast, and fish are better options. Eat steamed vegetables for a side. Baked potatoes are better than fries, but are still fattening.
All soups and appetizers in restaurants are loaded with MSG. Hamburgers may contain anything. Bacon will be cured with MSG, sugar, and many other bad things.
Avoid artificial sweeteners. Aspartame is the worst, but they are all bad for you. They claim no calories, but this is a half truth. Once you consume something with artificial sweeteners, your body makes sugar out of it.
These sweeteners can cause many heath problems including obesity,
headaches, and memory loss. People eat this stuff to avoid calories.
They don't realize it lowers their metabolism.
Diet soda, sports drinks, and any sugar free items contain them. Diet soda makes you fat.
Stevia is not an artificial sweetener. It is the extract of an herb. It actually has no calories and doesn't cause health problems.
Learn to avoid MSG. I've said it a few times. MSG causes obesity. If you learn nothing else on this site, I hope you will avoid MSG for the rest of your life. Please read the full article about MSG. MSG is hidden under many different names. My favorite is "natural flavor."
MSG is in everything, and it causes obesity.
Don't eat empty calories. Bread, crackers, pasta, breakfast cereal, and anything made with flour is nothing but empty calories from sugar. Flour is sugar made from wheat.
Even breakfast cereals that are super grainy and full of fibre are just empty foods. Instant oatmeal is bad too. Pop Tarts and the like are, of course, bad.
Potato chips, corn chips, pretzels, and the like are all junk food. Most contain MSG too.
Get some exercise. Play sports if you like. Ride your bike somewhere every day if you can. Do some weight training. All exercise is good.
One of the best exercises is walking. After dinner is a great time. It helps you digest your dinner. It also keeps your body from slowing its metabolism quite so early.

Pack a lunch. This will help keep you away from vending
machines and fast food. Food in school cafeterias has become a cause of
obesity for children and teens. It is all processed and loaded with MSG
and sugar.
Take whole foods like meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. This is good for the whole family.
Stay away from vending machines. The only thing healthy in them is water.
Track what you eat. I keep track of what I eat, my activity level, and how much I weigh every day. This helps me see what affects me.
If you are going to take your weight loss seriously, you need to know what works for you and what doesn't. Keeping charts is the best way to do this.
I don't count calories. I just write down things I eat. I compare
this to my weight to see how foods and activity level affect my weight.
This is a very powerful method to see exactly what works for you.

Eat whole foods. Whole foods are things you have to prepare yourself. Steak, pork chops, chicken breast, broccoli, bell peppers, apples, oranges, almonds, walnuts, etc. Things from the butcher shop and produce section are whole foods.
Anything that comes prepared in a can, bag, box, or jar is processed food. Most of it contains MSG and sugar. We have come to rely on these convenient items, but they are the cause of obesity in America.
Good, old fashioned, whole foods cooked at home are the answer.
Don't eat after 8pm. The body ramps down its metabolism in the evening. If you eat a lot then, you will gain weight.
If you must snack, eat a low carb snack. Eggs, cheese, or a little left over meat will tide you over until bed.
If you eat carbs before bed, you can't burn them in time, and they
are stored as body fat.
