Don't be fooled by salads. Salads seem like a good weight loss option. The problem is in salad dressings. Unless you make your own salad dressing, don't bother.
All salad dressings contain MSG and most contain lots of sugar. Even a little MSG will stop weight loss. Most people consume so many calories in salad dressing that they might as well eat pizza.
When I was fat, I ate salads all the time. I thought is was the thing to do. Eliminating salad dressing was a big key to my weight loss.
Salads are fairly low in nutrition because of the low calorie vegetables used. They don't keep you full very long which leads to snacking.
Break sugar addiction. Sugar causes obesity. There are several forms of sugar in our foods. Anything that ends in "ose" is sugar. Sucrose is common sugar. High fructose corn syrup is very bad and is in everything these days.
It is best to avoid sugary foods anyway. Avoid soda pop, ice cream, cake, pie, candy , and the like. I don't need to list everything. You'll feel better once you're off sugar for a while.
Avoid processed food and meat. Almost all processed food contains MSG and sugar. Processed meat such as lunch meat and pepperoni also contain lots of MSG and sugar. This is why Subway isn't great for you. I eat it when I have no choice but to eat out.
Things like pizza rolls, hot pockets, and most microwave heat and eat foods cause weight gain. Almost everything that comes prepared in a can, box, bag, or jar contains MSG.
Don't skip breakfast. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day - especially for weight loss. Morning is when your body wants to ramp up its metabolism. If you don't eat, it can't. You will burn fewer calories for the rest of the day as a result.
Eat eggs and meat for breakfast. A little fruit and oatmeal is OK. Eating a hearty breakfast with some steak and eggs will keep you satisfied until lunch. Fruit burns off fast and leaves you hungry.
Don't worry about eating some fat. When you eliminate empty calories, your body will burn the fat you eat for energy. It won't be stored. Empty calories make you fat.
Believe in yourself. You can conquer obesity! If I can do it, you can do it. Do something every day to build your confidence and self esteem.
Part way through my weight loss, I had a 4 month weight loss
plateau. I was quite discouraged at times. My wife really helped pull
me through that. I have lost 30 pounds since then.
I had already lost 55 pounds by then. Focussing on that positive
really helped me not give up.

Relax. Stress hiders weight loss. It casues chemical imbalances, and it usually leads to overeating. Stress can also cause sugar cravings.
Do something that realxes you. This is different for every one. For
one person, it is gardening. For others it might be skydiving. I enjoy
hiking in the woods and woodworking.

treatment right in your own home for very little money.

Cook at home. Many families are very busy and rely on processed food. The problem is that they are obese as a result. Eating right is the most important step to weight loss and health.
Most families could eat better if the kids helped cook meals. Get the whole family involved. It can be fun and healthy at the same time.
Cooking isn't that difficult. Most meals can be cooked in one or two pans. Crock pots are great too. throw everything in a crock pot in the morning, and it's ready when you get home. My wife and I cook all of our meals at home. Most meals take less time to make than a microwave lasagna.
Watch out for seasonings, marinades, BBQ sauces, etc. They all have sugar and MSG. Just about anything that makes cooking faster and more convenient causes obesity.
Eat healthy snacks if you snack. Try not to snack between meals. If you need a snack, try almonds, walnuts, peanuts, fruit, or raisins. Cheese or leftover meat are better choices than junk foods.
Pop corn is OK sometimes, if you make it yourself. Microwave popcorn is bad. Buy a hot air popper at a garage sale. Butter and salt are OK. Try not to eat it right before bed though.
If you do these things, you will lose weight. I was obese too. I have lost 80 pounds by eating the way I just described. The MSG factor in obesity is mind blowing. I said it before, and I'll say it again. Eliminating MSG and aspartame from your diet is the best things you can do for your health.
This is the same method the military uses in boot camps. Whole foods 3 times a day, no junk food, and plenty of exercise is what makes a soldier thin, strong, and healthy. It will work for you too.
I hope this list of diet tips helps you lose weight. You will be healthier and feel better too.
Good Luck
