Fast Food Obesity

Fast Food Obesity is staggering. 1 out of 4 Americans eat at a burger joint every day. Obesity and fast food are so cohesive because they are designed to be. Fast food contains additives that make it addictive and induce hunger. It steels your energy, health, and directly causes obesity. It is impossible to ignore the relationship between fast food and obesity.

Fast Food Causes Obesity

Is fast food really that bad? If you do nothing else for your health, watch this video. This documentary follows the weight gain and health decline of a man who eats McDonalds food 3 meals per day for 30 days.

He gains 24.5 pounds, his cholesterol levels skyrocket, he develops fatty liver, chest pains, and shows all the symptoms of full blown addiction. The adverse health effects were documented by doctors who were blown away at the physical degradation caused in only 30 days of fast food.

After the experiment, it takes him 14 months to lose the weight. It also exposes the food industry's and FDA's motives and methods.

Super Size Me - full 140 minute documentary.

Fast Food is Fattening

Fast food obesity is caused in part because it has an incredible amount of calories. One value meal has more calories than most people burn in a day. That’s really not the worst part of it though. It is so heavily processed that it has virtually no positive nutritional value.

Don't be fooled by their salads either. They can contain more calories than a cheeseburger meal. The special sauces and salad dressings are almost pure MSG and sugar.

Fast Food is Addictive

Fast food obesity is driven by addiction. Fast Food is loaded with chemicals to make it addictive. They don’t want to sell you a meal once in a while. They want to sell you three meals per day plus snacks. Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) is the main addictive ingredient in fast food. MSG causes weight gain. They want your kids addicted to their food too, That's why they have cartoon characters and give away toys in kid's meals.

I remember the addiction of driving past one and having my mouth water and feeling an almost irresistible urge to go through the drive-through. Many times I gave in and went on the way home from work. I would still eat a full dinner at home as well.

In the Super Size Me documentary, I noted that the doctors and nutritionists only blamed the fat and calories for weight gain. Not one of them mentioned MSG as a factor. They are either ignorant that it causes obesity and food addiction, or they are ignorant of its wide-spread use in our food. The one doctor mentions that he shows signs of addiction but doesn't seem to have a clue to what is causing it.

During my weight loss, I mentioned to my doctor that I eliminated MSG and how I attributed 20 pounds to it. He seemed surprised. The food industry has successfully hidden their poison even from doctors and nutritionists. This is because the food industry funds many educational institutions, so they teach what the food industry wants them to teach. They teach them about calories and fat, and they blame shift, saying obesity is mainly caused by a lack of exercise.

Fast Food Causes Binge Eating

Fast food obesity is also caused by binge eating due to chemically induced hunger. The last time I ate at a burger joint, I was ravenously hungry an hour later. This proved to me that something was very wrong with it. A well-balanced, nutritious meal doesn’t do this to you. Overeating, of course, causes weight gain.

Fast food induces hunger by triggering the body’s hormonal response that tells you to eat. The only level sensor in your stomach is at the very top. It’s that overfull feeling after a big meal. All other hunger pangs and feeling of satiation (feeling full) come from hormonal signals. The natural, well-balanced meals I eat now keep me satisfied for hours. Sometimes I’m not very hungry by the next meal time.

Fast Food causes Couch Potato Syndrome

Fast food and weight gain are so closely related because fast food also causes lethargy. You don’t need extreme amounts of exercise to be healthy and lose weight, but when you can’t get off the couch because you’re in a chemically induced coma, it has an effect on your body fat percentage. OK coma is a slight exaggeration but not much.

How to Beat Fast Food Obesity

Fast food obesity is the hardest cause of obesity to cure because of the addiction factor, but it is also the easiest. Once you eliminate, and I mean absolutely eliminate, fast food from your diet, you will lose the weight it caused you to gain. It will take some time because the fat is chemically imprinted.Your energy will improve, and you are likely to increase your physical activity as well. You will eat less because you won’t be so hungry.

If you are a victim of fast food obesity, eliminate fast food from your diet. It’s not OK even in little amounts. Do yourself a favor and avoid it like the plague. This food is addictive. Stopping it isn’t easy. They’re everywhere, and your "fix" is only $5.00 away. Don’t eat it. Not as a treat. Not because the people you’re with want to go. Not on a dare. I used to be a super heavy user, but now I wouldn’t eat it if you paid me. Fast food obesity is caused by food addiction. You must beat fast food addiction or prepare for an early death.

Traditional Restaurants cause Fast Food Obesity too

Fast food obesity isn't just caused by burger and taco joints. Almost all restaurants have the same obesity causing chemicals as fast food because they are added by the restaurant supply companies. Any food that is heat-and-eat is also fast food.If you didn't cut up the vegetables, meat, and other ingredients and cook it yourself, it's fast food.

Unless it’s a special restaurant that gets all fresh ingredients and prepares everything from scratch, it has the same issues as fast food. Most restaurants buy their supplies from restaurant supply companies. These companies add the same addictive, hunger producing chemicals that fast food companies use because they want you to eat at your favorite restaurant every day. The more often, and the more you eat, at your favorite restaurant, the more food the restaurant buys from them, and the more money they make.

What about restaurants that post "NO MSG?" What they most likely mean is "NO MSG ADDED." They don’t need to add it; food comes from the restaurant suppliers already loaded with it. After some good weight loss, I treated myself to a meal at a restaurant I liked. I gained five pounds in one meal. It didn’t come off over the next few days, so it wasn’t from water weight or some other reason. It halted my weight loss for months. You can not cure obesity while eating in restaurants unless you know a nice, organic place, but they are scarce.

The Bottom Line

The most irritating part about this to me is that these companies, and companies are just groups of people, are more than willing to end our lives early to pad their bottom lines. They sleep at night by saying "well, nobody’s putting a gun to their heads, and we’re not doing anything illegal."

They may not be putting a gun to our heads, but they are secretly putting addictive chemicals in our food. If someone got caught putting cocaine in your food, they would go to prison, but putting addictive properties in your food is perfectly legal. Thank the U.S. Government for putting the financial interests of the food industry above our health.
