The definition of obesity is having a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30. [1]
Obesity was once defined as being 30 pounds over your ideal weight, but the CDC changed it several years ago.
Obesity is also defined as having a very high amount of body fat in
relation to lean body mass. [1] This is the real definition in my
opinion.
Obesity is different for every person. BMI is simply a ratio of height and weight. The true test is if you are happy when you look in the mirror or step on a scale.
If you have Dunlop disease, (when your belly done lops over your belt) you are obese. If you can't see your toes, you're obese. All joking aside, you know whether you're happy with your weight or not.
Morbid Obesity is not defined as a certain BMI. It is the point
where obesity begins affecting your health. I was morbidly obese.
I noticed a decline in my health and energy. It was my decline in
health that inspired me to find the causes
of obesity and cure myself.

Exogenous obesity is obesity caused by overeating. This sounds so simple, but there is more to it than simply pushing your plate away.
There are many reasons for overeating. Emotional factors, food
addiction, and additives in our food all team up to cause exogenous
obesity.

Obesity is basically an American problem. Some western countries are not far behind though. The more we eat in restaurants, the fatter we get. The less fat we eat, the fatter we get.
Other countries who have adopted American nutritional standards are
getting fat right along with us. Countries who reject our nutritional
guidelines, like France, remain thin and healthy.

Research always concludes that we should exercise more and eat less
fat. This is blame shifting though. Most research on obesity is
conducted by drug companies who are looking to patent new fat loss drugs.

The greatest sign of obesity is not being able to see your shoes while you're wearing them. I joke, but I've been there. The bottom line is, you know if you're obese or not.
There are several physical symptoms of obesity including high blood pressure, migraine headaches, and heart palpitations.
