Aspartame Causes Obesity

Aspartame may be the largest cause of health problems in America. It is sold under the brand names: NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure. It is an excitotoxin.

Excitotoxins cross the blood-brain barrier unrestricted. They contribute all manner of neurological disorders. It attacks the part of the brain that regulates hormone production. This causes hypothyroidism which slows the metabolism.

I used to suffer from migraines on a regular basis. My migraines disappeared within a few weeks of quitting artificial sweeteners.

The only sugar substitute I use now is Stevia. It is the extract of an herb, not artificial.

Give up sugar in all of its forms, and you will start losing weight without effort. Eliminating sugar substitutes made a big difference in my body weight.

• Sucralose

Sucralose is sugar substitute commonly sold under the name of Splenda. They claim sucralose is made from sugar, and it probably is. That doesn't really matter to me because it stops my weight loss.

Sucralose is also reported to cause some serious health issues. It is a chemically stripped down (devitalized) form of sugar.

The body has a way of recognizing devitalized food items and metabolizes them as the original item by taking the missing components from its reserves.

Whatever components they chemically strip from sugar to make sucralose is just replaced by the human body during digestion so it can be metabolized.

Since Sucralose is made from sugar, the body metabolizes it as sugar. Any calorie savings is fictitious in my opinion. It is my decision to never use it again. Artificially stripped and processed foods are bad for us.

• Saccharin

Saccharin carries this warning on its label: "Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This product contains saccharin which has been determined to cause cancer in laboratory animals."

Saccharin is sold under the brand names of Sweet and Low, Sweet Twin, Sweet'N Low, and Necta Sweet. It's really a no-brainer to avoid saccharin.

• Alcohol Based Sweeteners

sugar alcohol sweeteners: sorbitol, erythritol, xylitol, mannitol, lactitol and maltitol are made from alcohol. They have fewer calories than sugar. I avoid them because they cause Diarrhea, gas, and bloating because they are not completely digested.

They are often used to mask the bad taste of other artificial sweeteners. It is my advice to avoid them. They are just another chemically processed item.

• Stevia

Stevia is the only thing we use as a sugar substitute. It is the extract of the Stevia herb. It has no calories and is believed to be 100 times sweeter than sugar.

It is not marketed as a sweetener because it is currently illegal to do so. Since it is safe and affective, it is of course not approved by the FDA as a sweetener.

It can only be marketed as a food supplement. I can vouch that it is a very sweet and does not affect weight loss. I seriously doubt it will ever be attributed with any health problems.

Beware of Stevia blends no matter how all natural they claim to be. The ingredients of the Stevia we use are: Stevia extract, distilled water, and grapefruit seed extract as a preservative.

• Artificial Sweeteners Cause Obesity and Health Problems

It is my decision and advice to avoid sugar substitutes like aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, and anything else they make in the future.

They provide false hope in helping with weight loss. You want to lose weight for your health. Sugar substitutes may lead you to an early grave or Alzheimer's Disease.

The adverse side affects of Aspartame and other sugar substitutes just aren't worth it. Now you know that they cause obesity, you should eliminate them.

Your grandchildren may not thank you for it, but won't it be nice to be around to see them and remember who they are?
